Happy Green Day!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

A few fun facts about St. Patty's Day:
  • St. Patrick himself was born in Wales in 385 AD. His given name was Maewyn (no wonder he changed it to Patrick, I would have too).
  • St. Patricks Day is the national holiday of Ireland. Although widely celebrated in the US, Canada, Britain and Austrailia, it is not an offical holiday in these countries.
  • The worlds first St. Patricks Day parade was in Boston in 1761.
  • The "wearing of green" (originally meaning a shamrock) is seen as a sign of Irish nationalism and loyalty to the Roman Catholic faith.

I hope you all have a lovely St. Patricks Day! Do something to celebrate, even if it's just eating a green, Key Lime yogurt for breakfast, which is what I did.

Oh, and you all better be wearing green today
